When the World Feels Unsafe
Processing Collective Fears and Trauma That Creates Deepened Emotional Pain and Ongoing Worry.
Service Description
From natural disasters to mass violence and ongoing global conflict, the world can feel increasingly unsafe—for adults and especially for our children. Even when we aren’t directly impacted, repeated exposure to these events can quietly shape our sense of safety, increase anxiety, and affect how we relate to one another. This support group offers a calm, clinician-led space to explore how collective and ongoing trauma shows up in our bodies, our parenting, our relationships, and our daily lives. Together, we’ll slow things down, name what’s often unspoken, and learn ways to manage fear without becoming overwhelmed by it. Through shared experience, professional guidance, and compassionate connection, participants can begin to feel steadier—both for themselves and for the people they care for. You will Gain - A safe, non-judgmental space to process fear, grief, and uncertainty Insight into how ongoing world events affect adults and children—often without us realizing it. Tools to manage anxiety, hypervigilance, and emotional overload. Guidance on how to talk with children about frightening events in age-appropriate ways. Support in learning how to relate to others when the world feels divided or unsafe. Practical coping strategies to restore a sense of control and emotional balance. Healing happens here within group cohesion, participants are not alone in holding these fears. Licensed clinicians will facilitate conversations, offer grounding techniques, share evidence-based tools, and provide helpful resources. By connecting with others who are carrying similar concerns, many find that fear becomes more manageable—and healing can begin, one day at a time.
